Watch for Laurence on CBS Evening News Tonight
A few weeks ago Laurence Shatkin was interviewed by a CBS Evening News correspondent about how the stimulus plan will affect the job market. We just got the word that the interview might air tonight. So be sure to watch for it!

I liked how this segment not only discussed recession-proof jobs but also highlighted the importance of following your heart when choosing your career. The woman profiled had moved from working with computers to being a veterinary technologist (near the top of Laurence's list of fastest-growing careers) because she has always loved animals.

I stand corrected on the topic--I forgot that this one was about his recession-proof jobs book (he does so many, I've lost track!).
Yes, it was a nice segment. It's nice to think that people are still following their passions even when times are tough.
